Teaser Tuesday #17

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

To play along, just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share 2 (two) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE ANY SPOILERS!  (Make sure what you share doesn't give too much away!  You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR if they like your teaser!

"He is said to be another of my unlikely ancestors, and actually did hold court on my family's estate from time to time.  He was not, by all contemporary Scottish accounts, the treacherous bastard Shakespeare made him out to be" (41).

- Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein
